Letty and Gerard’s romantic engagement getaway in Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend was a dream come true. The red rock landscapes, winding canyons, and golden light set the perfect stage for their love. I met them in Page, a small town in northern Arizona, nestled on the shores of Lake Powell. The town is famous for two iconic destinations: Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend—perfect for an unforgettable engagement adventure.
Our first stop was Antelope Canyon, a sandstone slot canyon carved by flash floods over thousands of years. We wandered through the narrow passageways, watching sunlight stream through cracks above, bouncing warm beams off the canyon walls. The canyon felt cool and sheltered despite the desert heat outside. Every turn revealed new textures, curves, and shadows, creating a magical, intimate atmosphere. Afterward, we explored another nearby slot canyon, where we had the entire space to ourselves. The quiet and secluded environment made the experience feel even more special. Letty and Gerard moved naturally through the rock formations, laughing, holding hands, and soaking in every breathtaking view.
As the day unfolded, we drove to Horseshoe Bend to catch the sunset. The size of the canyon is awe-inspiring, and looking down at the Colorado River makes you feel wonderfully small. We wandered along the rim, letting the light and wind guide our path. The warm glow of sunset reflected off the rocks, casting romantic shadows that framed their connection perfectly. Afterward, we hiked back up the trail, the sky painted with pinks, purples, and golds.
