Alexandra and Tim always knew they wanted an intimate day focused on just the two of them. They loved the idea of being surrounded by nature. So, they decided to have a hiking elopement to Cathedral Rock in Sedona, Arizona. The stunning red rock formations made the perfect backdrop for their adventurous day.
The ceremony
We hiked out into the desert and found the perfect spot for their ceremony. Alexandra wore her mother’s necklace, and Tim wore his U.S. Army pin on her bouquet. Tim also carried their best friend’s handkerchief in his jacket pocket. These personal touches made the ceremony even more special. Surrounded by the majestic red rocks, they exchanged rings and sentimental vows with just a few hikers passing by. Two of them even stopped to sign the marriage license, adding a unique touch to the moment.
After the ceremony, we hiked to the top of Cathedral Rock. We scaled vertical walls, soaking in the incredible views as we reached the summit. The late afternoon sunlight bathed everything in a warm glow, creating the perfect atmosphere for celebration. They spent the next few hours dancing in the sun and sipping champagne, reveling in their adventure. The breathtaking surroundings and their love for each other made the moment unforgettable.
Finally, we made our way back down the trail, capturing one last shot under the stars. The serene beauty of the desert sky provided the perfect ending to their unforgettable day. Alexandra and Tim’s hiking elopement to Cathedral Rock was an intimate, adventurous celebration of their love, surrounded by stunning nature.
