Every once in a while, you meet a couple and instantly feel a connection. That’s exactly how it was when Taylor and Erik contacted me about capturing their Gothic Wedding at the stunning Red Earth Venue in Moab. Taylor has an infectious energy that immediately draws you in, and I could feel the excitement radiating through the phone. We were both so eager to start planning their special day! They already had their venue picked out, the gorgeous Red Earth Venue in Moab, Utah, which served as the dramatic backdrop for their gothic wedding. A celebration that was nothing short of a goth dream.
The wedding-
I met the couple at the Red Earth Venue in Moab, Utah. A breathtaking location that truly embodies the beauty and essence of the surrounding desert landscape. Towering sandstone formations and the arid desert created an otherworldly atmosphere, perfectly suited to the couple’s unique vision. They shared their first look beneath the towering sandstone formations, creating an otherworldly atmosphere. Taylor was a stunning vision in her black lace gown, flawlessly capturing the gothic aesthetic she had always envisioned. Her dark, cascading bouquet of feathers added a hauntingly beautiful touch. Erik looked equally striking in his all-black suit, completing the look, the perfect gothic duo.
We made our way back to the venue, where the couple hid away from their guests. As the bridal party made their way down the aisle, the burning frankincense filled the air with its sweet earthy aroma, while the smoke added a touch of mystique and romance to the proceedings. Against the breathtaking backdrop, the couple exchanged heartfelt vows, surrounded by close friends and family who had gathered to witness their union. After the ceremony, the newlyweds celebrated with loved ones until the stars came out and the candles melted away. The day after their wedding, I took the newlyweds out to one of my favorite spots. As the sun dipped low in the sky, the landscape provided a spellbinding setting for the couple’s post-wedding portraits. The rugged cliffs, winding canyons, and expansive vistas encapsulated the raw, untamed beauty of the Utah wilderness. As Taylor and Erik danced in the park’s vast beauty, their love mirrored the timeless strength of the surrounding nature. A love that is fearless and unapologetically unique.
