Acadia National Park Adventurous Elopement // Jessica & Jason

Acadia National Park Adventurous Elopement

Jessica and Jason have known each other since they were just kids, but developed a friendship later. They dated for 12 years and 4 years ago they welcomed their pride and joy, Andrew, into the world. One summers morning in July Jason asked Jessica to join them on their porch and soon Andrew joined them as well, holding an engagement ring, and instead of saying the line that Jason had rehearsed with him a few times over (will you marry daddy) Andrew simply said “Thank you mommy”. They laughed and they cried and that warm summer morning they made one little boys whole world.

When they began planning the wedding they decided they did not want to have a traditional wedding, instead they wanted to celebrate their love with their closest family and friends, and of course their son who thought the celebration was a halloween party so he decided he would be going as Spiderman, naturally, so they opted for an intimate wedding in Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine.

The afternoon of the elopement we drove around Acadia National Park to capture all of the amazing landscapes and was blown away by the magical light we were blessed with. We then made our way up the mountain where the couple was married overlooking the ocean as the sun began to set. After the ceremony Andrew ran up to his mom with flowers that he had picked just for her, looking as dapper as could be, they decided to leave the spiderman getup at home 😉

Jessica & Jason’s elopement was everything a wedding should be, meaningful, adventurous, intimate, and filled with love.
