Suzanne and Leif opted out of a traditional wedding for an adventure elopement at Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. Instead, the couple decided to travel with their two best friends from Florida and elope in the desert.
Page is a small town in northern Arizona. Nestled on the shores of Lake Powell. It is known for three iconic destinations, Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. Antelope Canyon is an incredible sandstone slot canyon formed due to erosion from flash flooding during heavy rains. Horseshoe Bend is a large horseshoe-shaped canyon that overlooks the Colorado river. It is also referred to as the “east rim of the Grand Canyon.”
I met Suzanne and Leif at Antelope Canyon for bridal portraits in the slot canyon. We winded through the canyon, capturing the light bouncing off the red rocks. The desert sun pierced through the cracks down to the sandy floors. Then, before sunset, we hiked down to Horseshoe Bend. I am always blown away by the size of the canyon! Peering down at the Colorado River makes you feel so small. Their friends took turns reading sweet sentiments during their lovely ceremony. After that, we explored the canyon’s rim, capturing every last bit of the desert light. All in all, it was the perfect adventure elopement at Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. A day I will never forget!
