I first met Maddie and Ryan while photographing one of her friend’s weddings in Hawaii. So I was excited when they asked me to photograph their adventure engagement session in Moab. They are such a sweet couple, so it was fun to get back together with friends for their engagement session.
The southwest is one of my favorite spots to photograph. With so many different landscapes to explore, Moab is an excellent place for a desert engagement session. You can visit the desert, river, waterfalls, mountains, arches, dinosaur tracks, and so much more! Also, if you are up for going off the beaten path, Moab has some spectacular off-road areas!
I met them in the desert at our friend’s house. They kindly offered their razor for their engagement in Moab, which made for a fun day! So we loaded up the razor and made our way down a trail. Surrounded by a canyon of gorgeous red rock. Once the sun began to set, we drove to Dead Horse Point, one of the best places to watch the sunset in Moab. Golden hour in the desert is unlike any other place! We walked the rim of the canyon, capturing the various viewpoints. It was a wonderful day spent with great friends photographing their adventure engagement session in Moab.
