Jennifer and Joel wanted an epic engagement, so they decided on an adventurous desert engagement session in Moab. They chose Moab for its dramatic landscapes and western desert vibes. A place that was entirely new for them. I love being only 2 hours from Moab. There are so many different landscapes, and that desert light makes for the dreamiest images!
On the day of the session, we drove down the river to Castle Valley. Other than a few passing horseback riders, we had the entire area to ourselves. Although the sun was intense, we had a nice breeze to keep us comfortable. I also love windy sessions as it gives everything a bit of motion. Jennifer’s dress blowing in the wind made for some great pictures! After finishing up at our first spot, we drove to Dead Horse Point State Park for sunset, the perfect spot for an adventurous desert engagement. Unfortunately, an unexpected storm blew in, which cut power and knocked over trees, so we postponed until the next day.
The following day we had perfect weather with clear skies and that fantastic sunset light. Jennifer rocked a gorgeous red dress that flowed against the wild landscape. Then, just before we lost the sun, they put on their jean jackets for a few pictures. Jennifer’s custom jean jacket was absolute goals! Jennifer and Joel’s adventurous desert engagement session in Moab turned out to be an epic engagement weekend!
