Kinza and Nishanth had an intimate wedding during quarantine. Then, once we could venture into the world after covid, they planned an adventurous anniversary in Big Bend National Park. I met them in Terlingua, a rad little ghost town out in the middle of the desert. About 4 hours from the closest airport or 5 from El Paso, Terlingua is a unique place with a lot of character.
For Kinza and Nishanth’s anniversary in Big Bend, they wanted to explore as many locations as possible, so we mapped a route to hit as many spots as possible! Kinza wore a gorgeous saree for their sunrise pictures and switched to a more modern wedding dress for the afternoon. Alongside Nishanth, they both looked flawless against the deserted landscape.
We started our day at Sotol Vista Overlook. I love watching the sunrise in the desert, it can be so dreamy! Afterward, we drove to the iconic Santa Elena Canyon and Chisos Mountains. There are so many places in Big Bend to visit, with over 1,252 mi² of rugged desert to explore. We finished the day on the park’s east side and eventually returned to Terlingua for sunset. Kinza and Nishanth’s anniversary in Big Bend National Park was the perfect deserted getaway for two adventurous lovers.
