Kelsey and Dustin planned an incredible wedding adventure in Hawaii with their friends and family. Every so often, you meet a couple that you just click with; that’s exactly how it was when I met Kelsey and Justin! I have had the pleasure of knowing them for several years after photographing theirΒ engagement session in Moab. So I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their intimate wedding in Hawaii.
They were married in a gorgeous, intimate ceremony at their private residence in Kona, Hawaii. It was such a unique day from the clear bridge over the pool, a tiki bar in the driveway, and the sweetest barefoot bridesmaids. After their wedding, we spent a few days adventuring around the island by land and sea for their wedding portraits.Β
We took a catamaran sunset cruise out for whale watching. Kelsey and Dustin bravely jumped into the ocean, and we captured an incredible one-of-a-kind image with Hawaii in the background. Later, their underwater image was chosen for theΒ Top 50 Best Wedding Images in Junebug Weddings! We took another adventure to a secret black sand beach a few days later. While we took pictures, we were greeted by a group of wild horses. They came right up to the couple, who were more than happy to give them some love. After we watched another incredible sunset, we hopped in the jeep and returned to Kona.
When someone asks me about my favorite place to photograph, Hawaii is always at the top of the list! With its warm blue water, incredible landscapes, and sweet ocean air. It was the most incredible wedding adventure in Hawaii for two adventurous lovers!Β
