Intimate Destination Wedding in Bequia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
Cariona and Omorow first met when Cariona went down to Canouan (a small island in the Caribbean) for work. One night out with friends the two met and danced for a bit but Coriona ended up leaving earl, the next week they happened to run into each again and by the next day he had told her he wanted to marry her. Fast forward a few months (and many visits) later, Cariona moved back down to Canouan for the winter and the rest is history!
When planning their wedding the couple knew that they wanted to get married down in the Caribbean, where it all began. They decided on Bequia, a small island off of the main island, Saint Vincent.
A few days prior to the wedding we took a catamaran sail out to some of the other islands where we went snorkeling, swam with turtles, and spend the day in the sun enjoying the warm breeze and delicious rum punch (a Caribbean tradition).
The couple was married on the oldest church on the island, St. Mary’s Anglican Church – 1829 with their closest friends and family in attendance. After the ceremony we took a walk down Belmont Walkway where we stopped to have a celebratory drink before heading off to the reception where the couple danced until the party was crashed (literally) at the end of the night, ending in a giant celebration and a spontaneous jump in the pool.
I am so glad that I was able to be a part of such an incredible wedding with such a sweet couple. Carina and Omorow’s wedding is what dreams are made of!
