Ellen and Michael planned an intimate getaway with their closest family and friends in the San Juan Mountains. They had an intimate lakeside wedding in Telluride, a day focused on their love.
They rented a cabin in Mountain Village, where I met the couple for their finishing touches. Ellen looked stunning in her black wedding against her golden red hair. Ellen and Michael had their first look in the garden, and then we drove to Trout Lake for their ceremony.
Two of their close friends officiated their lakeside wedding with a rug as the altar and sticks for the aisle. They exchanged vows with their loved ones present and a few paddle boarders (and pups) floating by. The rugged mountains made the perfect backdrop against the lake. After the ceremony, we parted from the guests for their couples portraits along the lake. Afterward, we returned to the cabin for a private dinner with their guests in the backyard. Their friends and family set up a gorgeous tablescape with unique personal touches. Including name cards made of wildflowers and seeds so you could plant them. I loved that idea! One of their close friends baked the most incredible. Adorned with citrus & hot peppers, two of the couple’s favorite things. Everything was put together with so much thought and personal touches.
Ellen and Michael’s intimate lakeside wedding in Telluride was one of the most meaningful and heartfelt days I have been a part of.
