I met Danae and Evan in Page, AZ, where I met them for an adventurous engagement session. You can see their engagement session here: Horseshoe Bend Engagement Session. After much thought, they decided to have an intimate wedding at Markree Castle in Sligo, Ireland. They chose Ireland because Danae’s mom has always dreamed of visiting. How sweet is that!? Driving up to the castle, I felt like I was transported back in time. Dating back to the 17th century, the Markree Castle made the most incredible backdrop for their intimate wedding in Ireland.
Danae and Evan dressed in separate rooms so they could share a private first look. Evan waiting patiently for Danae in the front garden. As Danae walked down the steps to her future husband, it was a real-life Cinderella moment. They privately exchanged vows in front of the castle before making their way to the chapel. Friends and family awaited them in the wedding hall for their intimate ceremony. Afterward, Danae surprised Evan with a classic Rolls Royce for their wedding pictures. A custom license place made the perfect touch.
Dinner was held in a gorgeous banquet hall. After cutting the cake with a traditional sword, we snuck out into the gardens for sunset photos. Once the sun went down, we made our way into the basement, which was turned into a dance area. Drinks flowed into the night as everyone took turns on the dance floor. I stole the couple away for one final shot under the stars out in front of the castle. A storybook ending to a dream intimate wedding in Ireland.
