Snowmobile Engagement at Maroon Bells

Austin and Theo’s winter snowmobile engagement session at Maroon Bells in Aspen was a winter-wonderland day from a storybook. I have known Austin and Theo since photographing not one but two of her sisters’ weddings in Maine. That being said, I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their engagement.Β

Austin and Theo flew from Georgia for pictures in the snow. We met at the T-Lazy-7 Ranch to start our snowmobile tour into the mountains. I have never seen Maroon Bells without anyone there. It is special to have the whole area to yourselves. Blanketed with snow, the bells made the most dreamy backdrop. Then, when I thought it couldn’t get better, our snowmobile guide brought bread for the birds for a real-life Snow White moment!

As we the sun set behind the mountain, we drove down the trail and saw 3 moose grazing in the trees. A good luck omen for their future, as moose symbolize luck, fertility, and prosperity. In some cultures, they are also believed to possess magical powers. The perfect end to their snowmobile engagement session at Maroon Bells. Before we reached the ranch, we took some pictures with the snowmobile. I loved the contrast of their glam engagement attire with the helmets! At the end of the day, Austin and Theo’s snowmobile engagement is a day we will never forget.
