Rosie and Jon wanted their wedding day to be intimate and adventurous, so they flew from the east coast to elope in a snowy winter elopement in Telluride. In the heart of winter, the couple flew from DC out to the mountains, where I met them on a gorgeous winter day with a fresh blanket of snow covering the ground. After a few pictures on main street with the iconic views, we drove out of town for their ceremony.
We found a perfect spot out in the snow where we had the whole area to ourselves other than a few cross-country skiers passing by. Snow began to fall as they read their vows, and once they exchanged rings, the sun peeked out from the clouds. They had one of the sweetest and most heartfelt ceremonies that you could feel without even hearing the words. After their ceremony, we drove deeper into the mountains for their couple portraits and champagne, which was given to us for free from a local store! Afterward, we made our way back into town and rode the gondola up to San Sophia overlook with views of Telluride from above. Once the slope closed, we went back to the hotel for some final shots jumping on the bed with confetti poppers, the most epic way to end the night! Rosie and Jon’s heartfelt snowy winter elopement in Telluride truly reminded me of why I love what I do!
