Stephanie and Zach’s sunrise adventure elopement in Yosemite was an epic day from sunrise to sunset. We planned their elopement before covid and hoped and prayed everything would work out. Thankfully everything was working out until the fires near Yosemite filled the sky with smoke and ash. A very eery sight to see. Thankfully, the smoke eased up a bit the day of, and we had beautiful skies for their elopement.
I met Stephanie and Zach at Glacier Point for their first look before sunrise. We hiked around for wedding pictures until the sun poked out from behind the mountain. Then, their closest friends and family gathered for a beautiful intimate ceremony with Glacier Point as their epic backdrop. Initially, we planned a picnic reception that had to be canceled due to the fires. So instead, we drove back to Stephanie and Zach’s cabin in the park to celebrate. Guests decorated the back deck beautifully with gorgeous florals and a custom neon sign. We had an early dinner celebration with their guests and their pup Alice, who completely stole the show.
After the picnic reception, we drove to Taft Point for sunset pictures. One of the most iconic views in the park, rising 3,500 feet with views of the valley floor below. It is totally worth the quick 2.2-mile round-trip hike for those spectacular views! We explored until we ran out of light and then returned down the trail. I am so glad Stephanie and Zach chose to have an all-day adventure to enjoy every minute of their day together. Their incredible sunrise adventure elopement in Yosemite is a day they will never forget.
