Sunrise Winter Elopement on Loveland Pass

Ari and Ben’s braved the cold for a sunrise winter elopement on Loveland Pass. As they are from Florida, they wanted to elope in a place completely different. So we planned an epic day they would never forget! Loveland Pass is a popular location in the winter as the pass is open year-round. It is also a favored spot for backcountry skiers & boarders. Even in the winter, you can get right on top of the mountain!

I met Ari and Ben before dawn for our sunrise adventure. The sky lit up pink during their gorgeous first look on top of the mountain. Then, braving freezing temperatures and fierce winds, they exchanged vows at 11,900 ft with majestic snow-capped peaks in the distance. Afterward, the couple celebrated with a champagne toast at 11,990 ft and a little impromptu snowball fight. All in all, their sunrise winter elopement on Loveland Pass was precisely what they envisioned.

Loveland Pass is a unique destination, as you can get on top of the mountain even in the winter. However, in the winter, you are completely exposed to the wind and the elements. Be sure to pack warm gear so you can play in the snow longer!
