Natalie and Josh chose to forgo a traditional wedding for a sunset adventure elopement at Zion National Park. Being east coasters, Natalie and Josh chose Zion as their elopement destination for the dramatic desert scenery. So, with two of their best friends, they flew from the east coast for their desert adventure.
Zion National Park in southwest Utah is known for its stunning cliffs and winding narrows with incredible hiking, canyoneering, and climbing. With cliffs rising 2,000 ft, they are some of the tallest sandstone cliffs in the world. The Narrows is one of the park’s most popular hikes, along the Virgin River riverbed leading to Emerald Pools and waterfalls. It is the adventurers’ paradise for an elopement at Zion!
I met them in Springdale, and we started the scenic drive that winds through some of the most gorgeous landscapes. Our first stop was along the scenic drive. Looking up at the giant canyons from below makes you feel so small. Then we drove to Canyon Overlook Trailhead and hiked the 1-mile roundtrip trail to the canyon’s rim. Once we reached the edge, we found the perfect spot for their ceremony. As the sun set in the canyon, Natalie and Josh exchanged vows in the sweetest ceremony. Afterward, we took pictures until the sun went down. Natalie and Josh’s sunset adventure elopement at Zion National Park was the perfect day for the most adorable couple.
