Alison and Greg braved the cold for a winter couples session on top of Loveland Pass. The pass is open year-round and has become a popular area for backcountry skiers & boarders. On snowy days, be sure to have 4wd just to be safe. Loveland Pass is the highest mountain pass in Colorado that doesn’t close for the winter. Making it one of my favorite winter locations in Colorado. However, it does close for bad weather or accidents, so keep that in mind when planning a winter trip.
I met Alison and Greg at the top of the mountain for their winter couples session on top of Loveland Pass. They braved the cold for the cutest session with their furbaby, who was more than happy to play in the snow. Of course, my favorite sessions always include the fur kids! They ran around the top of the mountain at 11,900 ft with majestic snow-capped peaks in the distance.
You are completely exposed to the wind on top of the mountain, so it can get really cold, really fast. A parking area is nearby to jump in and out of the car to warm up. However, packing warm gear ensures you have a fun adventure and you can stay out in the snow longer! All in all, Alison and Greg’s winter couples session was the perfect afternoon for these adventurers.
